Who We Are
Richard Utting – Director
Born in Norwich, Norfolk, Richard came to Cumbria in 1975 to work for the NFU and NFU Mutual as Assistant Group Secretary in Penrith. Being only 20 at the time, Richard was one of the youngest group secretaries in the country. There was also almost 3 foot of snow on the ground on the first day he started 1st June, followed by a heat wave!! So they think the weather is strange now!!!!
15 years later (1990) he decided to set up his own general insurance brokerage operating first from an office in Cornmarket and then from Little Dockray.
After 15 very successful years, Richard decided to sell his general insurance business (2005) and concentrate his efforts on Profile Financial Management Ltd.
Richard has two children both of who live in London. Suzanne works for The Bank Of America whilst Mark works for Endemol, the TV production company who produce ‘Million Pound Drop’.
Richard is currently heavily involved in the Penrith Chamber of Trade and Commerce as its Vice President, and also the Pride in Penrith Lottery which he helped to instigate 2 years ago. His interests include playing squash and golf (the latter pretty badly) and going on holiday to places far and wide.
Trevor Iredale – Personal & Corporate Financial Planner & Wealth Manager
Trevor has 31 years of financial services experience gained in the early part of his career in the banking sector before moving into wealth management and corporate financial planning in 2003 he became a co-director/owner of a new company, Chilli Financial Ltd, a specialist wealth management and corporate planning business. However, in 2008 he decided he wanted to move to Cumbria and, with this in mind, he sold his interest in Chilli and set about finding a suitable business to work and be apart of. Thankfully he found PFM!! In joining us Trevor will provide us with a wealth of expertise and assist in the development of PFM’s corporate financial planning service for business clients.
Trevor has a fiancée Margaret, a dental receptionist, and two sons, Christopher 22 and Ashley 19. Trevor’s interests include fly fishing for brown trout, hill walking in Cumbria and the Yorkshire dales and surfing in North Devon.
Rebecca Taylor – Administrator
Rebecca was born in Carlisle and has lived in and around Cumbria for most of her life, with a brief spell in Surrey where she worked for the Royal School of Needlework.
Rebecca went to Austin Friars in Carlisle and then on to Casterton School for Girls in Kirkby Lonsdale. After a varied career starting with an apprenticeship in needlework and most recent being assistant manager of a local kitchen depot Rebecca has moved to Profile Financial Management where she hopes to further her career into financial planning.
Rebecca has a son, Matthew, who is five and her interest include needlework, reading a good book, and socialising with friends and family.
David Malin – Financial Planning Administrator
David was born in Derbyshire, however from a very early age he has lived in Cumbria. David attended the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Penrith and since finishing his education he has amassed almost 10 years retail banking experience in varying roles, most recently having qualified as a mortgage adviser. David has moved to Profile Financial Management to further his career in financial planning.
David’s interests are playing golf and going on holidays with his partner, Corinne.
